Paul Stephens Le Mans Classic Clubsport

In cooperation with Peter Auto, the organizer of the famous Le Mans Classic event, Paul Stephens and his team in the United Kingdom created the Le Mans Classic Clubsport based on the classic Porsche 911. After a preview in London, the world premiere of this car will take place this weekend at Le Mans. There, customers will receive their vehicles in two years during the next edition of the Le Mans Classic. In addition they are allowed to drive a demonstration lap around the famous circuit after they took delivery of their vehicles.

The conversion to the Paul Stephens Le Mans Classic Clubsport begins with a classic Porsche 911, which is disassembled to the body shell. Depending on the condition a more or less extensive restoration takes place before the conversion into Clubsport spec can start. For this, the vehicles get a new roof without rain gutters and without sunroof, composite bumpers and engine cover, a front hood made from aluminium, less noise insulation and aerodynamically shaped wing mirrors.

At the rear there is a 3.4 liter air-cooled six-cylinder boxer engine with 300 bhp. The intake system comes from the GT3 RS, the programmable ECU is mapped in house and camshafts, crankshaft, conrods as well as the lightweight flywheel are made to RS-specs. Power transmission to the rear wheels is provided by Getrag’s G50 five-speed gearbox and a mechanical limited-slip differential, allowing a spurt from zero to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 175 mph.

The ST-style touring seats are covered in black leather with inlays in fabric, showing the Le Mans Classic colors green, white and black. These colors are also found on the dashboard, the steering wheel and the door panels, while the carpets are dyed green. Green is also the color of choice for the door pulls, the dials and the seat belts. Behind the front seats, a custom made luggage box replaces the rear seats. Customers can choose between a Lightweight version that only weighs 970 kilograms and a slightly more comfortable Touring spec with 105 kilograms more on the scale. The base price is 250,000 GBP, but can be higher depending on equipment. Only ten cars will be made. Standard equipment shows a tailor-made luggage set.
