Pagani Huayra Tricolore
Around ten and a half years after the Zonda Tricolore, Pagani is now also presenting the Huayra in this special edition. The epithet specifically recalls the Italian aerobatic squadron Frecce Tricolori. In 2021, the 313° Gruppo Addestramento Acrobatico, Pattuglia Acrobatica Nazionale, celebrates its 60th anniversary. A good reason to once again show a limited edition supercar in its honor. As was once the case with the Zonda Tricolore, only three examples of the Huayra Tricolore are to be built. Unlike the first special edition model, however, the second is based on the open-top Roadster variant.
New aerodynamic elements make the Tricolore unique compared to the normal Huayra Roadster. Behind the passengers, a roof scoop ensures a better supply of fresh air to the six-liter V12 biturbo engine from Mercedes-AMG. For the Tricolore, this receives a power boost to 618 kW/840 hp and 1,100 newtonmeters of torque. A seven-speed sequential transmission transfers the power to the rear wheels. Pagani promises a curb weight of just 1,270 kilograms.
In addition to blue bare carbon, the Italian flags on the flanks and the aforementioned new aerodynamic components, the three Huayra Tricolore also receive a modified interior. The transmission selector lever is made from a solid block of aluminium on a CNC machine. An aerospace alloy with blue anodizing is used for the remaining aluminium components. All exposed carbon elements receive a special hand polish. Blue and white leather with stripes in the colors of the Italian flag carry the Tricolore theme to the inside.
If you’re now thinking hard about a quick Christmas gift in the form of a Pagani Huayra Tricolore, check your bank account beforehand, just to be on the safe side. Pagani is calling for a base price of 5,500,000 € per vehicle, though further special requests can push that figure even higher.
