The birth of the Hyperclassic – Officine Fioravanti

We rewind to the year 2021. The place: the port of La Spezia in Liguria, Italy. Officine Fioravanti presents its interpretation of the Ferrari Testarossa. The restomod incorporates a number of changes with great attention to detail, some of which are not visible at first glance. In fact, uninitiated onlookers might completely miss the fact that that Testarossa has actually been modified. The response to the Swiss design house’s project was remarkable. In the months that followed, Officine Fioravanti asked itself how to proceed. The result is the creation of a new class of vehicle: the Hyperclassic.

With the Hyperclassic concept, Officine Fioravanti wants to take their work to a new level and elevate the icon from Maranello to the elite ranks of hypercars with subtle, customized design changes, a performance upgrade and new suspension components. Incidentally, the concept was christened “TR Alte Prestazioni,” which means “high performance.

The changes to the TR Alte Prestazioni focus primarily on the performance and drivability of the Ferrari. Officine Fioravanti first of all focused on the position of the driver and the pedals. This should have a positive influence on the driving experience, as the driver’s position in particular is a major shortcoming of the Testarossa. On the chassis side, electronically controlled Öhlins dampers are used. The ABS system as well as the traction control can be adjusted by the driver in 12 steps. As for the V12 engine, nothing remains untouched – cylinder heads, dry sump lubrication, new ECU and many other measures are supposed to bring the Ferrari to 600 hp. To increase rigidity, the chassis is also completely revised. Behind the specially designed 18″ and 19″ rims, there is a GT3 brake system from Brembo.

“Our choice is aimed at distancing ourselves from the currently bloated restomod sector and taking it further than anyone has gone before.”

– Officine Fioravanti

The TR Alte Prestazioni is a refined and carefully designed object. Officine Fioravanti does not buy components for it, but creates the ideal components to achieve the final result in house and in a very natural way. “Our standard? Perfection.” Officine Fioravanti is the catalyst for a unique metamorphosis: mechanical, technical and aesthetic.

Not only the Testarossa.

Officine Fioravanti also gives a small preview of what may still come. According to the Swiss design house, the Testarossa is not the only model to receive the Hyperclassic treatment. A number of icons from automotive history, some of them unexpected and worthy of collecting, are to follow soon after the TR Alte Prestazioni.
