TAG Heuer Aquaracer Carbon

Carbon fiber reinforced plastic, called ‘carbon’ for short, is an indispensable part of today’s world. Especially in professional racing, whether on land, on the water or in the air, hardly anything is possible without the lightweight and high-strength material, which can be made of woven carbon fibers and a resin adhesive with the help of pressure and heat in almost every desired shape. From the Swiss watch manufacturer TAG Heuer, the popular and famous diver’s watch Aquaracer now comes on the market in a special Carbon edition and thus forms the prelude to a whole collection of Carbon watches in the near future.

The Aquaracer Carbon edition is available in three different finishes with colored accents in rosegold, yellow or blue. Featuring a black PVD coating, a carbon bezel and a 41 millimeter titanium housing, this watch not only has an unrivaled look, but also high resistance including water resistance to a depth of 300 meters. PVD is pressed resin with irregularly added carbon fibers, resulting in a marbled appearance in black and grey. Inside the dial is printed in carbon look. It is applied with a black fabric wrist band, which shows blue or yellow stitchings corresponding to the respective color versions.

TAG Heuer offers the Aquaracer special editions exclusively in supported boutiques as well as in the in-house E-Shop. In addition to these three Carbon edition models, they also presented a wristwatch developed together with Bamford Watch Department, called Monaco Bamford Carbon. It features a solid carbon case, a full-black-dial and blue indices as well as a black alligator leather strap with rubber lining. While the prices for the Aquaracer have not yet been published, the Monaco Bamford Carbon costs 7,350 euros.
