Rimac C_Two California Edition
Already in March of this year, we reported on the new electric super sports car from Rimac, which inherits the only eight built Concept_One. Generation two is called C_Two and puts the already very impressive performance of the debut car from Mate Rimac and his Croatian team far in the shade. The installed electric motors bring it to 1,408 kW, which corresponds to 1,914 hp. For this purpose, a maximum torque of 2,300 newtonmeters from the first revolution of the engines is available. No wonder, Rimac gives just 1.85 seconds to accelerate from zero to 100 kph. The maximum speed is 412 kph.
On the other hand, batteries with a capacity of 120 kWh are installed in the floor of the vehicle, providing a range of up to 400 miles when driving slower. The car can also drive on its own with the aid of innovative step-4-autonomy driving functions, which Rimac will use specifically on racetracks, where the car could show the driver the ideal line and braking points. Both carbon-ceramic brakes and active aerodynamic parts are on board for safe travel during fast rides.

Already during the world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show a large part of the 150 planned vehicles had already been ordered. Shortly after our visit of the press days, Rimac finally announced that all the cars have been taken. However, this is only conditionally. In many countries, the dealers first come to terms with preliminary contracts and then try to sell them to interested car collectors, for example in the USA.
Therefore, it should not be surprising that Rimac for the American premiere of the C_Two specially built a flashy California Edition. In chic blue with a new design of alloy wheels and brown leather in the interior of the electric supercar knows quite to inspire. It was shown for the first time in front of some invited guests at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. In the coming days it will be part of the Monterey Car Week.
