Please Make It Happen! – Alpine A310 Vision
Alpine knows how to bring classic cars into the present without stripping them of their character. The A310 Vision is the best proof of that. And let’s be honest: Why just a concept car?
Revisiting a classic without ruining it is an art in itself. Alpine has mastered it quite well. The modern A110 has shown how a brand’s own history can be reinterpreted for today without succumbing to nostalgia. With the A310 Vision, the French sports car brand is now taking it a step further—and in doing so, sparking a very real desire.
“Even back in 1971, the Alpine A310 was no quiet little car: flat as an iron in the front, wide as a French bodybuilder after a bulking phase in the back.”

The proportions remain familiar, but the details are new. Headlights integrated into the front, striking A-shaped wheels, a transparent passenger compartment, and a two-part rear wing give the concept car a futuristic look. At 4.55 meters long, just 1.18 meters tall, and 2.03 meters wide at the rear, the A310 Vision sits firmly on the road. It looks as if the historic A310 had driven straight out of the 1970s and into a rather exciting future.
The new Alpine Performance Platform, or APP for short, lays the technical groundwork for new proportions and body styles. However, no specific details regarding the powertrain or performance figures have been provided. The A310 Vision is explicitly a concept car and not a preview of a production model.

It’s a shame, really. Because the study shows just how distinctive a modern Alpine sports car could look. Not bigger, louder, or more generic, but with a clear heritage and a character that sets it apart from the usual run-of-the-mill sports cars.
Alpine, please make it happen!
Of course, a concept car can’t be brought to the road exactly as is. But that’s not the point. The silhouette, the broad shoulders, and that distinctive look should definitely be preserved. The A110 has proven that Alpine can turn a historic concept into a modern sports car.
So why not do the same with the A310? The new platform is here, and the design concept is compelling. All that’s really missing now is the decision to turn this vision into a real car.
So, Alpine: Please don’t just show it off. Please build it.
