McLaren 600LT Spider MSO

For the Geneva International Motor Show, that will open its doors next week, McLaren Special Operations (MSO) redesigned for the first time a new 600LT Spider. From the outside, the vehicle in ‘MSO Bespoke Dove Grey’ shows some contrast in ‘Napier Green’ on an innovative, lightweight and flexible wrap film. On the front splitter, along the side air inlets, on the sill end plates and on the aero elements at the rear bumper as well as on the diffuser some green stripes are applied. The calipers are also painted in Napier Green. McLaren specifically reminds of the 675LT with this color, for which it was an exclusive standard color. Meanwhile, Napier Green is only available as a special request. In addition, all attachments offered by MSO for the sportiest Sports Series model can be seen on this show car. These include the louvres in the front fenders, which are outlets for the front wheel arches. Satin bare carbon is used for various elements. The retractable hardtop is painted in ‘MSO Bespoke Carbon Black’ and the ultralight ten-spoke rims also show black paint.

The interior is upholstered in black Alcantara with light green stitching and a zero mark on the steering wheel in light green. Ultralight carbon fiber sports seats from the Senna are waiting for the driver and passenger. Carbon accents and the McLaren Track Telemetry system (MTT) with lap time function and three cameras come from the normal option program of the 600LT. MSO complements it with an Alcantara headliner and headrest embroidery with the 600LT logo.

Technically, the 3.8-liter V8 biturbo engine with 600 hp remains in the car. It accelerates to 100 kph (62 mph) in 2.9 seconds and up to a maximum speed of 324 kph (201 mph), which is reduced to 315 kph (196 mph) with open roof. Thanks to the top exit exhaust tips, the occupants get a lot more from the exhaust noise than in the normal 570S Spider.
