Maserati Levante Trofeo Launch Edition

At the Geneva Motor Show Maserati presents their new top model of the SUV series Levante, the Trofeo, in the limited Launch Edition with just 100 copies worldwide. The special model is characterized by three exclusive paint finishes. In addition to the matte blue (Blu Emozione Matte) as shown on the press pictures and on the motor show car, the colors ‘Giallo Modenese’ and ‘Rosso Magma’ are also available. Thus, the Launch Edition underpins its exposed position within the model program of Maserati. At the front, adaptive LED headlights illuminate the road for the driver, flanking a special grille with vertical struts in black piano lacquer finish. Fine carbon inserts in the bumpers and side skirts also set the Launch Edition apart from the regular Levante models, as do the Trofeo logos on the C-pillars. The Levante Trofeo stands on 22-inch forged wheels in Orione design, which are available in matt or glossy black. Safe contact with the road or terrain is guaranteed by SportContact 6 tires specially developed by Continental for this model.

Matching to this, the interior of the noble SUV presents itself in high quality and with an exclusive touch. The standard sports seats are upholstered in fine and very soft ‘Pieno Fiore’ natural leather and decorated with stitching in body color. The headrests also have the Trofeo logo and the Maserati trident embroidered. Elements of matt carbon fiber on the dashboard and center console create a sporty and elegant ambiente that is enhanced by the special instrument graphics and the typical Maserati clock. For a nice sound next to the exhaust, a high-end Bowers & Wilkins premium surround sound audio system with 17 speakers and a total output of 1,280 watts is part of the standard equipment. Floormats with a metal Trofeo badge complete the ambience.

For driving dynamics that match the sporty name addition Trofeo, Maserati uses a 3.8-liter V8 biturbo engine with 600 hp, that can also be found in the Ferrari Portofino. It is produced at Ferrari in Maranello and transmits its power via an 8-speed automatic gearbox from ZF to the all-wheel drive system. This makes the Levante Trofeo the strongest model in the current line-up of Maserati and also one of the strongest vehicles ever made in Modena. With an acceleration of just 4.1 seconds from standstill to 62 mph and a topspeed of almost 186 mph, this car is also one of the fastest SUVs on the market today.

With a balanced weight distribution of 50:50 and a particularly low center of gravity for a SUV as well as the specially adapted suspension for the higher performance, the Levante Trofeo offers very agile handling. The driver can also customize the characteristics of chassis, dampers and engine via different driving modes. Next to the modes ‘Normal’, ‘I.C.E.’, ‘Sport’ and ‘Off Road’ from the normal Levante, the Trofeo also offers a ‘Corsa’ mode with integrated launch control for best possible acceleration. In addition, the engine responds more agile to movements of the accelerator pedal in this mode, the automatic has faster shifting times and the flaps in the exhaust system open for a sportier sound. The body of the Trofeo is lowered, the damping and the variable Q4 all-wheel drive system, as well as the traction control and the ESP are adjusted to the driver’s sporty desires.
