Maserati Levante Trofeo

In March 2016 Maserati debuted the first production SUV in its history, named Levante. Before that they already searched for market acceptance by showing the concept car Kubang. It was good enough and the sales figures underline this.

After Levante, Levante S und Levante Diesel now there is the sportiest version at the New York International Auto Show with the name Levante Trofeo. It gets a 3.9 litre V8 biturbo engine with 441 kW/600 PS and 730 newtonmeters of torque. Car fans know this motor from the Ferrari Portofino. Combined with an eightspeed automatic and the Q4 all-wheel drive system the car gets to 62 mph in 3.9 seconds and reaches more than 186 mph topspeed. Braking from 62 mph back to zero is done in just 34.5 meters.

Next to the normal Levante the Trofeo is recognizable by sportier parts like the new front fascia with bigger air intakes and carbon lip spoiler, carbon sills, bonnet with additional air outlets, bigger rear wing and a diffusor. Next to that there are four oval tips of the sport exhaust system with dark finish. 22 inch forged rims with ‘Orione’ design are available with matte or polished finish.

At the front full LED lights are used while the grille shows double vertical braces in piano black. The air intakes beyond feature a honeycomb pattern. Customers can choose between red, blue, black, silver or yellow for their brake calipers. A new ‘Saetta’ Trofeo logo can be found at the C pillars.

Natural grain leather from ‘Pieno Fiore’ is used on the sport seats and rear seats. It is available in black, red or tan. All colors are combined with colored stitching and stitched Trofeo logos in the headrests. Decor and paddleshifts are made from carbonfibre. Specific graphics in the display between speedo and tacho as well as in the big touchscreen are also part of the Trofeo package, as are a new clock and carpets with Trofeo logo.

Standard equipment shows a Bowers & Wilkins audio system with 1,280 watts and 17 speakers. Maserati also offers the limited Trofeo Launch Edition in USA and Canada, which gets a flat paintwork called ‘Grigio Lava’. Customers can choose another seven colors as well. Flat painted wheels and red brake calipers can be found as well.
