RUF CR 3.8

At the Geneva International Motor Show RUF presented some new models this year. Among them was the CR 3.8 as a restomod based on the Porsche 911 (993) Targa. On behalf of its owner, the car received a special treatment in Pfaffenhausen/Germany. The RUF team dismantled it to the last nut and bolt and replaced all elements thout couldn’t be worked up. In addition, a little technical fine tuning was done, for which RUF is known among fans and enthusiasts.

In the rear of the CR 3.8 you’ll find a naturally aspirated six-cylinder boxer engine enlarged to 3.8 liters with 300 hp and a maximum torque of 355 newtonmeters. These are transmitted to the rear wheels via a four-speed Tiptronic transmission. The topspeed is said to be 277 kph (172 mph), the empty weight is 1,425 kilograms. Optically, new bumpers and a special panel between the taillights are mounted. In addition, the car received a fresh coat of dark blue metallic paint.
