Movie cars in the Petersen Automotive Museum

The Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles is worth every visit. Even from the outside, the building stands out clearly from the monotony of the surrounding buildings. Inside, there are more than 300 vehicles of various years on various floors. On request, there are also guided tours through the Vault, rooms full of backup cars in the basement of the building. There you will find more interesting automobiles. The curators regularly put together special exhibitions worth visiting. Currently, for example, there is the “James Bond Exhibit – Bond in Motion” with various vehicles of the special agent and “Hypercars – The Allure of the Extreme” with various supercars.

From 12 March, the new special exhibition “Cars of Film and Television” will be added. In keeping with the name, many cars and motorbikes from Hollywood productions and TV series will come together here. From the Batmobile and the Ghostbusters Cadillac ECTO-1 to the DeLorean from “Back to the Future”. This is the only original film car that was used in all three parts of the BttF film series. Two motorbikes from “Men in Black 3” are on display. Another motorbike is from “Terminator Salvation”. The famous Ford Torino from “Starsky and Hutch” is also exhibited. One of the latest exhibits is the Lexus LC 500 from the 2018 movie “Black Panther”.
