Morgan Plus 4 110 Works Edition

For 110 years now, Morgan has been producing sports cars by hand in the small British village of Malvern Link in the county of Worcestershire. They still use ash wood frame structures for their bodyworks. Fans all over the world appreciate this design technique from the carriage age and are therefore loyal to this brand. For the anniversary, an exclusive special edition model based on the four-cylinder entry-level sports car Plus 4 is now offered, the 110 Works Edition.

For this anniversary vehicle, the Morgan designers have defined two different colors, between which customers can choose. On the one hand there is a modern interpretation of the classic British Racing Green, christened ‘AR Motorsport Green’, as a reminder of various racing successes of the brand and on the other hand a bright white silver (‘Morgan Design Silver’). Hood and spare wheel cover show a matt finish instead of the glossy finish on the rest of the body. Both paint colors are completed by flat grey accents, for example on the A-pillars, stone guards, parts of the dashboard and the exclusive rims from AR Motorsport, which cover the brakes with yellow calipers. On the sides of the bonnet there are special ‘110 Works Edition’ badges, while on the left side also an additional air venting hood has been installed.

In the event of bad weather, a black fabric roof can be stretched above the passenger’s heads while they sit on heated, black-leather sports seats with the ‘110 Works Edition’ logo embroidered into the headrests. Morgan didn’t change the classic dashboard with a total of five analog instruments and only a few switches and warning lights. Even the manual transmission wasn’t touched. It has five gears and transfers the power of the engine to the rear wheels.

Compared to the normal Plus 4, the 110 Works Edition benefits from a bit of refinement from the in-house racing department AR Motorsport. Through a Club Sport ECU map and a sports exhaust, the performance increases to 115 kW/156 hp and 201 newtonmeters of torque. It accelerates from zero to 62 mph in 7.5 seconds and up to a topspeed of 118 mph. In the UK the pricelist starts at 64,995 GBP (incl VAT).
