Girard-Perregaux Tourbillon TFB Aston Martin Edition

The Tourbillon with Three Flying Bridges in the Aston Martin Edition is the first exclusive wristwatch from the new partnership between the sport car manufacturer and the watchmaking company Girard-Perregaux. These two companies are united by their love of perfection and modern technology. The new watch is a detailed celebration o f the iconic Three Bridges pocket watch from the 19th century. Even the bracelet quotes this legendary timepiece. Here, Girard-Perregaux uses a world first in the form of calfskin with the incorporated its own patented Rubber Alloy. This is rubber with injected white gold.

The case, which measures 44 millimeters in diameter, receives crystal glass backs on the top and bottom. These allow a direct view of the three metal bridges that give the watch its name and keep the tourbillon suspended in the center. On the outside, the case is made of grade 5 titanium interspersed with black DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon). At the bottom, a blue seconds hand runs on its own gear. The actual hour and minute hands are traditionally suspended in the center. In the upper area towards 12 o’clock, you can take a look at the mainspring movement. Only 18 examples of the Tourbillon with Three Flying Bridges Aston Martin Edition will be created. Priced at US$ 146,000 each, they are available now from Girard-Perregaux dealers.
