Everytimer ETA 02

Modern retro design vehicles are very popular, especially when they are reminiscent of original cars from earlier decades. For this reason, Everytimer Automobile from Welden (near Augsburg in Germany) hopes to achieve some success with their ETA 02 Cabrio, which has been in development since 2014. Visually, the car cites the 02 Series of BMW from the 1960s, but uses the technology of the BMW 1 Series Cabrio (E88), which was produced from 2008 to 2013. In addition to the design, also the frames for fitting the new body parts to the shell were created in about 3,000 working hours using CAD software.

As a material for the newly designed fenders, doors and hoods they opted for glass fiber reinforced plastic, but optionally also offers even lighter carbon components. The accuracy of fit of five tenths of a millimeter creates a uniform appearance, otherwise only known from high-volume production cars. At the front, bi-xenon headlights with additional LED high beam and daytime running lights in the front bumper are used, while round LED taillights provide a unique signature at night. At the upper edges of the front fenders sit orange indicators as at the original 02 Series. Above the heads of up to four passengers, a soft top opens and closes at the touch of a button.

As standard, the equipment list of the Everytimer ETA 02 includes items such as active steering, comfort access with soft-close function, a park distance control, a navigation system, an exhaust system with active flap as well as a light and rain sensor. Optionally, metallic or pearl effect paintworks, retro-fabric seats with embroidered logos in the backrest, newly designed instrument graphics, colored brake calipers, nappa leather covers for the steering wheel and the handbrake lever as well as various bare carbon components are available.

On the engine side the entire range, that BMW offered for the 1 Series Cabrio, is available to interested customers of the ETA 02. These were the 118i with 143 hp, the 120i with 170 hp, the 125i with 218 hp and the 135i with 306 hp. For the latter version Everytimer Automobile offers a performance increase to 326 hp. The result is a reliable and fast car with classic design, which can be serviced at every BMW dealer worldwide. Repairs of the bodywork have to be done at Everytimer in Welden.
