Donkervoort D8 GTO-JD70 BNCE

After Donkervoort recently presented the 700 kilogram light and 415 hp strong D8 GTO-JD70 in honour of the 70th birthday of company founder Joop Donkervoort, pictures of the Bare Naked Carbon Edition (BNCE), which is subject to a surcharge, are now following. In the meantime, the Dutch sports car brand has sold more than half of the 70 planned units, some of which ordered as BCNE. Since 95 percent of the entire body of the entire body of the D8 GTO-JD70 is made of carbon fiber right from the start, this option gives customers the chance to see exactly what they are paying for. The visible carbon version can also be covered with a colored clear lacquer in a matt or glossy finish on request. Currently, the colors blue, green, red, gold and grey are available, with or without metallic particles. Further colors could follow.  The visible carbon areas in the interior can be coordinated to match. The elimination of the classic top coats reduces the vehicle weight by around six kilograms. Donkervoort first offered the BNCE on the D8 GTO-RS in 2018.

The Bare Naked Carbon Edition in colored carbon is the most far-reaching option when customers want visible carbon trim on their D8 GTO-JD70. Directly underneath you will find the normal edition in visible carbon without colored  clear coat. The Exposed Carbon Upgrade package, which is also available in a matt or gloss finish, is much smaller and includes the side panels, the front fenders, the bonnet cowl, the triangular side air scoops and various interior parts. Alternatively, it is available in the so-called ‘Hypercar Carbon Weave’, a different fibre structure that saves further weight. Donkervoort now also offers full carbon rims that reduce unsprung masses by 25 percent.

While the basic version of the Donkervoort D8 GTO-JD70 costs 163,636.36 € in the price lists, the Dutch are calling for an additional 8,250 € for the ‘Exposed Carbon Upgrade’, which will be increased again by 4,900 € if the ‘Hypercar Carbon Weave’ is chosen. The Bare Naked Carbon Edition, without color accents, costs 39,200 €, to which 4,500 € are added if the customer chooses the color variants (all prices plus VAT).
