Bugatti Chiron Edition Noire

At the Geneva Motor Show in March of this year, Bugatti presented the exclusive unique La Voiture Noire, with which chief designer Achim Anscheidt honored a lost example of the legendary Type 57 SC Atlantic. This car disappeared in the turmoil of World War 2 and would probably be the most valuable Bugatti in the world today it it were to reappear. After its completion, the newly created one-off car based on a Chiron chassis will go to a private car collector. Since March, however, interest in this vehicle has been unbroken, which is why Bugatti is now launching a special edition for the Chiron and Chiron Sport. Strictly speaking, there are even two, as the Edition Noire is available in two different versions.

Customers can choose between the Noire Élégance and the Noire Sportive. In the elegant version, the supercar features a glossy carbon fibre exterior combined with a C-shaped signature line milled of solid aluminium with a matt finish on the sides and a newly designed radiator grille with Bugatti logo in solid silver refined with black enamel. Behind the ‘Caractére’ wheels is the large brake system with black calipers. The rear-view mirrors and the engine cover are also made of black carbon with aluminium accents. In front of the rear wheels and on the underside of the rear wing there are ‘Noire’ lettering. The inner signature C-line between the seats of the Edition Noire Élégance is also in silk-matt aluminium. Otherwise, noble black dominates. A ‘Noire’ lettering sits on the outside of the center console and on the sill plates, as well as embroidered into to the headrests. There is also an exclusive carbon badge in the center armrest.

The Chiron Edition Noire Sportive features a matt carbon body. Exterior trim elements such as the C-shaped signature line, the wheels, the front spoiler, the radiator grille and the exterior mirrors are also matt black. Even the tailpipes of the titanium exhaust system have a black finish. This coloring is transferred to the interior even more than in the Élégance version. The C signature line, all switches and knobs on the steering wheel and center console as well as the door handles can be seen in matt black here.

Chiron Noire Élégance and Chiron Noire Sportive each cost three million euros plus taxes. For customers who would rather have the 18 kilogram lighter Chiron Sport in this special edition, a surcharge of 100,000 euros is called for. A total of only 20 copies of the Edition Noire will be produced, of which the first cars will be delivered in Q2 2020.
