Audi R8 V10 Decennium

For the market launch of the recently facelifted R8 Audi offers a special, limited edition. The R8 V10 Decennium is a hommage to the V10 engines that have been driving the mid-engined sports car for ten years now. From the beginning of 2009, it supplemented the portfolio of the first R8 generation with two power levels. In the second model generation, the R8 is only available with ten cylinders. Half of which are automatically switched off in partial load range. In the Decennium the most powerful variant with 620 hp and 580 newtonmeters of torque is used. With this, the car accelerates to 62 mph in 3.1 seconds and reaches a topspeed of 331 kph (205.7 mph).

The R8 V10 Decennium is only available as a Coupé, the body wearing the color ‘Daytona Grey Matte Effect’. Alternatively, the paint colors ‘Daytona Grey Pearl Effect’, ‘Suzuka Grey metallic’, ‘Kemora Grey metallic’, ‘Floret Silver metallic’, ‘Mythos Black metallic’ and ‘Ascari Blue metallic’ are also available. While the sideblades, the exterior mirrors and the rear wing are made of carbon fiber, the front spoiler, side skirts and diffuser are painted in glossy black and the alloy wheels as well as the intake manifolds of the engine, which are visible through the rear window, show matte bronze. All logos and badges on the body are also painted black. Inside, black leather with quilted Alcantara on the seats and bronze contrast stitchings can be found. Steering wheel and the lever of the DSG transmission also wear Alcantara. Door sills, door panels and center tunnel are adorned with a Decennium lettering. Another logo of the special edition is visible at night when the doors are opened and a spotlight illuminates it next to the car.

From spring 2019, Audi Sport will be producing only 222 copies of the R8 V10 Decennium in Neckarsulm. In Germany, the price is 222,000 € (incl VAT). Standard equipment shows also a car cover with bronze-colored embroidered logo.
