Art of Bugatti

Are you interested in the history of the Bugatti brand? Beautiful studio photos are always worth a look? Then you should take a look at the new book ‘Art of Bugatti’ from Motorbuch Verlag. Bernd Ostmann, former chief editor of ‘auto motor und sport’, took care of all the texts. Meanwhile, the pictures come either from the factory archive or from the professional cameras of René Staud, one of the best German car photographers.

The book divides the history of Bugatti into three epochs. Beginning with the original period under the direction of Ettore Bugatti, it then moves on to the era at the end of the 1980s and into the 1990s under Romano Artioli, and finally into the present day within the VW Group. In each era, the most important vehicles and people are presented in detail and partly brought closer to the reader through experience and driving reports. This starts with the Type 57 C Vanvooren, continues with the rare Type 252 and Type 35, and extends to Veyron, Chiron and La Voiture Noire. All reports are available in German and English. If you are looking for in-depth technology stories, you will probably not be happy with this book. However, if you are interested in Bugatti’s far-reaching brand history, including ancillary sections next to the automobiles and racing stories, you should consider purchasing it. The 280-page book is available in well-assorted bookstores under ISBN 978-3-613-04264-3 at a price of 79 €.
