Alpina B4 S Biturbo Edition 99
Alpina is a brand long known to car fans. Once everything began with the tuning of BMW models, today the independent manufacturer from Buchloe/Germany is best known for its fine vehicles based on bare bodies from BMW. Every now and then, the Allgäu based brand offers a limited edition of their models. One of those is the new B4 S Biturbo Edition 99, which is available as Coupé or Convertible, while the first one is also available with four-wheel drive on request (only with LHD). Next to the colors ‘Sapphire Black’, ‘Mineral White’ and ‘Alpina Blue’ the Edition 99 can also be ordered in ‘Grigio Medio’ or ‘Fire Orange’. Also the typical Alpina décor set in matte black or matte blue can be specified. Grille, air outlets and letterings are in black. There are also 20-inch alloy wheels in Ferric Grey.
99 copies as Coupé and Convertible
Under the bonnet is a three-liter six-cylinder twin-turbo engine with 332 kW/452 hp and 680 newtonmeters of torque. With this the Convertible accelerates from zero to 62 mph in 4.3 seconds, while the Coupé with rear-wheel drive needs 4.2 and with four-wheel drive 3.9 seconds. Topspeed is either 189 (Convertible), 190 (Coupé) or 188 mph (Coupé with four-wheel drive). Compared to the normal B4 S Biturbo, the Edition 99 gets a seven kilogram lighter Akrapovič sports exhaust system. The Coupé gets as standard equipment the sports suspension plus package and on request a motorsport differential lock on the rear axle, which is also available for the Convertible.

The interior of the Alpina B4 S Biturbo Edition 99 features comfortable, leather-covered sports seats, with the Coupé also optionally available with halfshell-seats, while the Convertible receives additional Alcantara accents. Behind the sports steering wheel with contrast stitching in body color are black anodized aluminium shift paddles. Floor mats and boot mat show leather pipings. Above the glove box there is an ‘Edition 99’ logo and in the interior as well as in the engine bay sit stainless steel plaques with the limitation number.
International prices for the Alpina B4 S Biturbo Edition 99 aren’t available at the moment, but in Germany prices start at 88,900 euros for the Coupé with rear-wheel drive, 91,800 euros for the Coupé with four-wheel drive and 96,100 euros for the Convertible.
