The purist among the 911s is back. The latest addition to the 911 family brings less weight, a manual transmission and rear-wheel drive for purism, emotion and, above all, driving pleasure. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new 911 Carrera T is positioned between the 911 Carrera and the 911 Carrera S. From the entry-level 911, the Carrera T takes over the biturbo engine with 385 hp and 450 Newton metres of torque, with which the sports car accelerates from zero to 100 km\/h in 4.5 seconds and achieves a top speed of 291 km\/h. Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) with mechanical rear-axle cross-lock is added from the standard range of the Carrera S with manual transmission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new 911 Carrera T is equipped with a seven-speed manual transmission as standard. An eight-speed PDK is also available as an option. The rear seat system is omitted. With its PASM sports suspension, the 911 T sits around ten millimetres closer to the asphalt. This is especially noticeable on winding mountain roads and country lanes. Thanks to reduced insulation, the sound of the six-cylinder boxer engine now penetrates the interior even more distinctively. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, the 911 Carrera T comes with the Sport Chrono Package and the PASM sports suspension as standard. This is only available on the 911 Carrera T in conjunction with the 385 hp engine. Rear-axle steering, previously reserved for models from the 911 Carrera S upwards, is available as an option. The T-specific equipment features include titanium grey Carrera S wheels in 20-inch front and 21-inch rear with 245\/35 ZR 20 (front) and 305\/30 ZR 21 (rear) tyres. In addition, the 911 Carrera T is equipped as standard with GT sports steering wheel, sports exhaust system and the Sports seats Plus (four-way, electric). At 1,470 kilograms, the 911 Carrera T with manual transmission is the lightest standard 911 in the basic engine version. It is thus 35 kilograms lighter than the 911 Carrera with standard eight-speed PDK. The latter is not offered with a manual transmission. In addition to the omission of the rear seat system and reduced insulation, lightweight glazing and a lightweight battery contribute to the low weight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

T stands for Touring.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The “T” in the model designation stands for “Touring” and has its origins in the homologation of the 911 T as a touring car in 1968. This first 911 T was on offer until 1973; in 2017, Porsche revived the purist 911 variant with the 911 Carrera T of the 991 series. Since then, the concept of reduced, sporty equipment has also been transferred to other model series with the 718 Cayman T, the 718 Boxster T and the Macan T.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 911 Carrera T will be available in the four solid colours black, white, Indian red and racing yellow as well as in the four metallic paint finishes deep black, gentian blue, ice grey and GT silver. Special colours available are Chalk, Star Ruby Neo, Crimson Red, Shark Blue and Python Green. As is typical for Porsche, the “colour of your choice” option allows you to find the right paint finish from 110 available colour shades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Porsche 911 Carrera T is available to order now. The first deliveries are expected in February 2023. In Germany, the price starts at 123,845 euros including VAT<\/strong> and country-specific equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
