So far car fans knew the tuning company Arden from Krefeld\/Germany mainly for conversions of Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles. For some time the company has also been offering tuned Bentley and now presents the AB 3 (Arden Bentley 3) based on the current Continental GT as Coup\u00e9 and Convertible. As usual, Arden follows the approach of consistent lightweight construction and sophisticated aerodynamics finetuned in the wind tunnel. On the drawings published so far, the body extensions of 50 millimeters per side made of carbon fiber are already clearly visible. Compared to the use of sheet metal or PU-RIM plastic, Arden saves some weight and at the same time achieves greater stiffness. Below the standard front bumper, a spoiler lip is fitted, visible carbon air intakes are used on the bonnet and a dynamically curved wing sits on the boot lid, which together with the wide diffuser generates more downforce.

The wheel arches contain up to 22-inch alloy wheels, which Arden offers in various designs. The ‘Zelem Two’ wheel is made of magnesium and features thin spokes. 275\/35 R 22 tires at the front and 315\/30 R 22 tires at the rear provide good contact with the road. Arden not only optimites the look of the noble Brit, but also gives it some technical tidbits. For example, a new sports exhaust system made of titanium is manufactured, which combined with a map optimisation offers an increase in performance of around ten percent compared to the standard version. At the same time, the conversion also lowers the fuel consumption. Further performance improvements could follow in the near future.<\/p>\n\n\n
