From 21 to 23 June around Ingolstadt, in the Hallertau, in the Donaumoos and in the Altmühltal one of the largest vintage car rallies in Germany takes place, the Donau Classic. Audi Tradition has been the main sponsor for many years, matching the location. At this year’s event it is deliberately reminiscent of the 150th birthday of August Horch. He founded the car brand August Horch & Cie and later Audi Automobilwerke mbH.
For the event, the Audi Tradition brings two beautiful Horch from the works collection to light. On the one hand there is a 853 of 1938 with a rare livery in ‘Fischsilber’, a forerunner of today’s metallic paints and on the other a 1939 Horch 930 V. In addition there are five other classics of the post-war type 100 Coupé S, 100, Super 90, 200 5T and V8. While the 100 will be 50 years old this year, the luxury sedan V8 reaches the threshold to the vintage age.
